Good Afternoon hopefully you all are having a great Saturday and are ready to attack this slate tonight. Got some stuff on tap with my kiddos so I’m going to keep this short an sweet today.
Today I’ll give you my favorite pitchers on the slate at each price point. The lower you go the more risk you assume. I list them in the order where I trust them so lets get to it already.
High Price Pitchers
Chris Archer – Easily one of the top pitchers tonight at home (where he’s better) facing a Rangers team with a 25% K rate. Texas is cold an the negative park shift won’t help. Archers a huge favorite an should be safe for Cash games.
Rich Hill – Rich may be my favorite pitcher on the slate tonight an has a great discount compared to Archer. 7+ innings in 3 of 5 with 44 Ks an only 6 BBs. With the Braves goin off last night I think that 3.1 implied runs is pretty accurate tonight. An who doesn’t love a 27% HC Rate.
Other Option – David Price (I’ll be Fading)
Mid Price Pitchers
Sean Manaea – He’s been consistent lately with 3 or less runs in 6 of his last 7 starts while sprinkling in some solid K numbers has a 9.1 K% currently. He’s also grabbed a QS in 5 of 7! Meta can hit lefties so be aware but I like him for GPPs
Danny Salazar – Coming off the DL and usually I avoid these plays but before the DL he had a 30.9 K% and a 15.8 SwingStrike Rate. To good for me not to test the waters and Toronto dosent scare me cuz the struggle against Righties. He’s been stretched out so I think he can go 6+.
Other Options – Masahiro Tanaka
Low Price Punt Pitcher
Brent Suter – He’s had a couple solid outings prior to the All-Star break with a couple QSs but struggled against the Pirates the last time out. He’s a cheap punt play that can afford you any bats you’d like. Against Philly he can easily go 6 an get you 5Ks. So at his price point its worth a shot.
Good Luck to everyone today!! Lets go dominate for the little guy an take some sharks out. Either way enjoy the weekend and I’ll be back tomorrow.
