8/5/17 Cheat Sheet

Good afternoon hope everyone is doing well today! Hopefully you’re early slight lineups are doing well if you were brave enough to play this two game slate. I’m just here to give you a little Cheat sheet for tonight’s action. The purpose of this cheat sheet is to cut down the available options and give you just a few choices of hitters in good matches or a great value. It’s like I always tell people there are many ways to research a slate so if you disagree with anything the best policy is always trust your gut! Now let’s get down to business and give you guys some plays for tonight slate so we can all go make some money!

Tonight’s Highest Run expectancy
Rockies – 7.1
Red Sox – 6.4
Astros – 5.2
Indians – 5
Rays – 5

Gerrit Cole – Chalk for sure facing SDP again after he got them for 7IP, 8K, and 52 FD points. I expect him to be locked in against this Padres lineup.

Danny Salazar – Yes he’s facing the Yankees but they have not been there self on the road lately. And with Salazar having the highest K rate and swinging strike percentage on the slate tonight I could think of worse options.

Drew Pomeranz – Tonight he gets a match up with the Free-swinging White Sox. They have one of the highest k% in the majors over the last 2 weeks. So if Drew can locate tonight he will finish as one of the top pictures on the slate since the Sox don’t see many pitches they don’t like.

Other Options – Danny Duffy, Charlie Morton

Low Price / Punt Options
Luis Castillo – living close to Cincy I’ve had the opportunity to watch Castillo pitch and when he’s on it’s a thing of beauty. With his high strikeout upside 9.55 K/9 and a over 50% GB% his upside is obvious. Also St. Louis is struggling at the plate right now.

Tyler Skaggs – coming off the DL today to face Oakland. I expect to be able to get Skaggs for under 5% ownership today. Against Oakland I can see a stat line of 6.1 with 2ER, 7Ks. A punt play with a chance of 30+ points I’ll take any day!

Other Options – Dinelson Lamet, Mike Foltynewicz

Catcher – Jonathan Lucroy, Wellington Castillo, James or Brian McCann

1st Base – Mark Reynolds, Joey Votto, Chris Davis, Hanley Ramirez
