Roto-Wan has returned from his exile on Tatooine. Tonight’s fourteen game slate runs the gamut at pitcher. Let’s sort through your options. As always, rated out of 100 for potential production.
Chris Archer vs TOR: (100) Archer has been effective against Toronto in four starts this year, averaging 7 IP and almost 11 K/9. He’s been dominant lately averaging 21 DK points and avoiding the blow ups that have plagued him. Must play cash option.
Danny Duffy vs COL: (100) The Rockies are a bad offense on the road (.286 road wOBA the last 30 days), I feel that especially applies the first game away from Coors of a road stand away from Coors. Duffy is poised for a breakthrough start, his numbers have stabilized and the K/9 is above 10. This is the perfect spot for Duffman to shine against a team striking out 24.3% on the road this year.
Carlos Carrasco vs BOS: (95) Carrasco’s coming off two games with big outputs, so he may be over-owned. He’s missing bats though, and Boston hasn’t been the most consistent offense. Slight savings over Archer, but it might not be enough to entice me.
Patrick Corbin @ NYM: (95) I’ve targeted the Mets at home versus lefties all year. They’ve waived the white flag and are 2-8 the last ten games. Corbin has put up 30+ in his last two and 22 DK points the time before that. He’s throwing his slider more than ever (35%) and it’s working.
Jameson Taillon vs LAD: (95) The Dodgers have cooled way off (92 wRC+ last 14 days) and Cody Bellinger will be sitting again tonight. Taillon’s been all over the map this season, but he pitches better to righties and the Dodgers only have a few options from the left side. One of which is the slumping Corey Seager (1 XBH in his last ten games, a double). People might be staying away from the Dodger name, so ownership should be low.
Lucas Giolito vs MIN: (85) If you feel like gambling, this may be the cheapest you’ll get Giolito for all year. The Twins power scares me some and they’ve been on a tear, though. Strictly a GPP dart for low ownership and Ks.
