Each slate, “Core Values” names three players at salaries below $5500 on both FanDuel and DraftKings that present a great value opportunity.
JJ Barea $4700 DraftKings, $4900 FanDuel
Barea may fill in for the injured Dennis Smith Jr. on Friday, when the Mavs face the Bucks. Even in limited time this year, the veteran has averaged 1.05 fantasy points per-minute and nearly 30 fantasy points per-game in his last 5 games. If he gets increased run tonight, he could safely earn you more than 5x.
Denzel Valentine $5400/$5100
Valentine isn’t an asset many are excited about using, but Coach Hoiberg has assigned him to an average of 33 minutes per-game in the last five outings. What is appealing however, is Valentine took 13 attempts on Wednesday. The second highest mark since last month, when he took 15 shots against the Charlotte Hornets, his opponent tonight.
Trey Lyles $4000/$4800
After the Nuggets passed on Donovan Mitchell to get Trey Lyles, we better hope he’s useful. In the last 5, Lyles has been. In four of the last seven games, Lyles has seen more than 22 minutes and in his most recent performance he earned 27 from Mike Malone. IN that outing in New Orleans, he popped for 34 fantasy points. On the year, Lyles has been effective earning nearly 1 fantasy point/minute. He could be the go to option for Malone tonight against an athletic Aaron Gordon who may be able to outpace the aging Ken Fareid.
