Low-owned Tournament Plays on Fanduel – Week 16

Quarterback

Mitch Trubisky (2%) – The Bears are implied for 22 points and they have nothing to lose. The Browns allowed 3 TD passes to Brett Hundley a few weeks ago and the Bears have been letting Trubisky throw at will. I could see him being a sneaky 3x value play on this slate.

Kirk Cousins (2%) – The Broncos haven’t allowed a passing TD over the last 2 games which is a little worrisome, but those games were against Bryce Petty and Jacoby Brissett. They did allow 7 passing TDs in their 3 prior games against Jay Cutler, Derek Carr and Andy Dalton. Cousins needs to perform well in order to have a bigger payday when he hits free agency and I could see him going off in this game.

Running Back

Theo Riddick (7%) – Riddick has been impressive since being tossed into the lead back role. He has big play upside, 2 TD upside as well as receiving upside. He is a great tournament play in all formats facing off against the Bengals who allow the 2nd most fantasy points to running backs on the year.

C.J. Anderson (2.5%) – The Reskins have allowed 100+ yards on the ground in each of the last 3 games. Anderson got 30 touches to Booker’s 12 last week which means he’s the clear cut back in this offense. This play does obviously pose a decent amount of risk because we don’t know for sure how the Broncos will decide to play these guys, but I have enough confidence to throw Anderson in a lineup or two this weekend.

Mike Gillislee (2.5%) – Gillislee will be active with Rex Burkhead out of commission this week. I think he will get the goal line carries and he has the revenge narrative playing in his favor. This is a very risky play, but he could be a tournament winner this week.

Wide Receiver

Josh Gordon (7.5%) – This is the best bet the Browns have of winning a game this year and I think they will be going all out trying not to be put in the same category as the 2008 Lions. Gordon has been the go-to guy on this Browns team since his return and I see him getting 10-15 targets this week. I’m not a huge fan of the matchup, but I can’t look past the volume he should receive.

Kendall Wright (6%) – Wright has been targeted 24 times over the past 2 weeks and he’s facing a beatable Browns squad. As I mentioned with Josh Gordon, I’m going with high volume plays for my tournaments this week. Browns/Bears game stack anybody? Gross…

Tight End

Vernon Davis (4%) – Another revenge narrative in another good matchup. The Broncos are allowing the 4th most fantasy points and 3rd most yards to tight ends on the season. Davis can put up huge yardage totals and I think he will go overlooked with other good high priced options on the slate. It’s not unrealistic to say Davis could get you 6 receptions for 80 yards and a TD this week.
