Note: Games not listed here have no significant injuries to report.
Miami @ Toronto
Both teams are playing on the first half of a back to back in Tuesday’s night game. The Heat are likely to monitor the minutes of Dwayne Wade in one of these games. Since Wade, who played 22 minutes in his debut, and the Heat haven’t played since Friday, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him play minutes in the mid-20s on Tuesday and be limited or out on Wednesday heading into the All-Star break.
O.G. Anunoby left Sunday night’s game with an ankle injury and is likely to sit out on Tuesday night. Norman Powell started the second half in his absence on Sunday but didn’t see a boost in production, while C.J. Miles turned in 44.1 FanDuel points in 17 minutes. Anunoby’s absence will open up some extra minutes for C.J. Miles and Norman Powell on the wings, but both are tournament dart throws at best.
Atlanta @ Milwaukee
John Henson aggravated a hamstring injury on Friday night and proceeded to sit out Saturday night’s contest against the Magic. In his absence, Thon Maker started at center and played 26 minutes, scoring 21.1 FanDuel points. However, it is important to note that Jabari Parker was resting on the second half of a back to back as well.
Maker is still likely to be the be the biggest beneficiary in Henson’s absence and should see a minutes-floor of approximately 20. In 126.9 minutes without John Henson on the court this season, Maker has averaged 0.72 FanDuel points per minute. The Bucks frontcourt will have plenty of opportunities to produce against a Hawks team that ranks 27th in defensive efficiency rating and 28th in rebounding percentage.
Cleveland @ Oklahoma City
Carmelo Anthony went through a light practice on Monday and will go through Tuesday morning’s shootaround to see if he can play on an ankle that has forced him to miss the past two games. If he can suit up, it would eliminate Patrick Patterson from value play consideration, while Jerami Grant’s value off the bench would take a hit.
If Anthony remains out, Grant would be an interesting tournament option as he has averaged 26.3 FanDuel points over the past six games. In 683.6 minutes without Anthony on the court this season, Grant averages 0.88 FanDuel points per minute and a 2.0% bump in usage.
Sacramento at Dallas
The Kings will be playing on the first half of back to back set, so we can consider their veteran players tentatively questionable for rest purposes. Zach Randolph, Vince Carter, and Garrett Temple will be players to watch out for on Tuesday and Wednesday night.
San Antonio at Denver
The Spurs are fighting the injury bug and they are playing on the second half of a back to back set tonight. LaMarcus Aldridge is expected to be held out until after the All-Star break which will continue Davis Bertans run as a value play, while Tony Parker should be considered questionable after returning from an injury on Monday night. Here is a look at the Spurs Court IQ if we account for all of their current injuries:
