New York @ Orlando
Michael Beasley was listed as day-to-day for the Knicks with an ear injury, but he should be good to go after practicing on Wednesday. The biggest situation to monitor for the Knicks for the rest of the season is their point guard rotation. Emmanuel Mudiay is expected to start on Thursday night while Frank Ntilikina and Trey Burke should pick up some extra minutes off the bench. In 69 minutes on the court for the Knicks this season, Mudiay has put up 0.98 FD points per minute with a 24.6% usage rate. That number is sure to drop with the first unit but it will be interesting to see how he performs in the starting unit alongside high usage play makers like Michael Beasley and Tim Hardaway Jr. The Magic are 27th in defensive efficiency rating this season so one of the cheap Knicks point guards will be valuable in GPPs.
On the Magic side of the ball, they should be at full health for the first time in a while. Aaron Gordon and Nicola Vucevic will both play in Thursday’s game but are expected to see “a reasonable number” of minutes in their returns. I would expect them both to be capped around the 25-minute mark, but their price points will make them difficult to target unless we get some more clarity regarding their minutes.
Brooklyn @ Charlotte
Caris LeVert and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will both continue to be out of the Nets lineup on Thursday night. With these two players off the floor, Spencer Dinwiddie will continue to run the show on offense. For me though, the most interesting play on the Nets is DeAngelo Russell. In 171.4 minutes with LeVert and Hollis-Jefferson off the floor this season, Russell has a 30.9% usage rate and puts up 1.12 FD points per minute. Over the past three games, Russell has averaged 27.7 minutes and he is still sitting at an extremely playable $6,100 price tag.
Philadelphia @ Chicago
The Bulls announced that they would be giving their young players an extended look during the final few months of the season. With Kris Dunn no longer on a minute’s limit and Cameron Payne set to be the backup point guard, Jerian Grant should be phased out of the rotation.
Additionally, Cristiano Felicio is going to enter the starting lineup which will take away any sort of the value that Robin Lopez offered. Felicio will immediately become an elite value at his $3,500 price tag on FanDuel. Here is how the Bulls offense shakes out with Felicio on the court this season:
Los Angeles @ Golden State
There aren’t any major injuries to report in this game, but Jordan Bell is right around his expected time table for a return. His return wouldn’t result in any major changes to the Warriors offense, but he would immediately be reinserted into the rotation off of the bench.
