We’re back for one last full-sized PGA Tour DFS slate before a little holiday break.
This week brings a field that I would consider to be a step above that of last week, with Rickie Fowler, Pat Perez, and Patrick Reed topping the salary charts and Vegas odds.
The field is back to a fully stacked 142 players making things very interesting, while providing a ton of value down low for those who are able to sift through all the information available to us. The top 70 guys and ties will make the cut, and as always, our goal will be to get that whole lineup on to the weekend. Let’s break it down.
Sheshan Golf Club – Shanghai, China. 7,261 yard par 72. Hideki Matsuyama is the defending champion, winning by strokes last year.
This week some big names return for the CIMB Classic in Malaysia. A few notable players include last year’s FedEx Cup champion Justin Thomas (who has also won this event two years straight), Hideki Matsuyama, Paul Casey, and last year’s Tour Championship winner and rookie of the year, Xander Schauffele. Oh yeah, it’s also a limited (78 player) field, with no cut. So keep that in mind.
We are now halfway through the FedEx Cup Playoffs and the field has been narrowed to 70 of the best. There will be no cut this week and only the top 30 players on the FedEx Cup points leader board will earn a spot in the final showdown of the year, The Tour Championship
Everything You Need To Know: PGA DFS Breakdown, Analysis, Picks – Dell Technologies Championship (Friday 9/1)
The first round of the FedEx Cup Playoffs is in the books and we are seeing a number of big names reemerge on the scene. Dustin Johnson got the W last week beating out Jordan Spieth in extra holes at the Northern Trust and will look to stay hot at this week’s Dell Technologies Championship, the second tournament of four in the FedEx Cup playoffs. The field is now narrowed to 100 players and will be cut to 70 for next week. There are a few guys in the field this week that chose to sit out week #1, making things even more interesting.
